After the funeral, Billy and Irene sat around the house getting acquainted with the emptiness. The next day, Irene put the clothes in a box marked GOODWILL and Billy took the rocking chair out to the curb. They made coffee and flipped through a book of wallpaper samples; eating the chocolates he never let them.
